Safeguarding

Safeguarding information about our school.

At St Bede’s, we recognise our moral and statutory responsibility to safeguard and promote the welfare of all of our children. We endeavour to promote a safe and welcoming environment where children are respected and valued. We are alert to the signs of abuse and neglect and follow our procedures to ensure that children receive effective support, protection and justice.

Designated Leads

Our Designated Lead for Safeguarding and Child Protection is our Headteacher, Mrs S Clarke who can be contacted in confidence by calling 0191 371 0272 or email stbs@stbs.bwcet.com

Our deputy designated lead for Safeguarding and Child Protection is our Deputy Head and Class 2 Teacher – Mrs Holtham, she can be contacted in confidence by calling 0191 371 0272 or email stbs@stbs.bwcet.com

They are both currently being supported by Mrs Spratt, our Class 1 Teacher, who can be contacted in the same way.

Safeguarding Governor

Our Governor for Safeguarding and Child Protection is Miss Emma Waldock, who can be contacted in confidence by calling school on 0191 3710272 or by emailing concerns to stbs@stbs.bwcet.com
